Elizabeth - 2012 Senior

I feel like I haven't blogged in a while and I hate that. Seriously, someone needs to put post-its on my forehead and then maybe I might remember to blog more. Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking senior portraits for an awesome girl named Elizabeth. If there's one thing I can say about Elizabeth, it's that she is TRENDY! She brought so many accessories with her and I loved it. You'd be surprised at how much a simple necklace or a flower hair piece will dress up a photo. The great thing about Elizabeth is that she wasn't shy at all and we just snapped our way through almost 250 photos! I got extra click happy but I just can't help it when the light is perfect. You see, it had stormed all weekend and that morning was kind of drizzly which lead for good overcast light. Most people think you need a bright sunny day for photos, but photographers will tell you NO WAY, CLOUDY DAY! I had a blast, Elizabeth, and I wish you the best of luck in your future.

Kraus Family

One of my best friends, Adrienne, whom I also share a birthday with, asked me to take her family photos before her husband leaves to go serve our country. He will be gone for 1 YEAR!!! I cannot even begin to imagine having my husband leave for a whole year, let alone leave for a whole year fighting a war! Since Matt will be gone through the holidays, she wanted to get some family photos done now. She mainly wanted photos of the boys with their dad, playing and having fun and just spending quality family time together. I know Adrienne will have a rough year ahead of her taking care of those 4 boys on her own, but she's a pretty strong woman and she has a great family and group of friends to help her through this. Matt, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and praying you come home safe to your family. Thank you for all you do! Stay safe over there :-)

Christmas Card Mini Sessions

Yes, I'm posting about Christmas cards already. It will be here before you know it, which means that you need to start thinking about family pictures for the cards you'll be sending out to your family and friends.

This year I will be having 2 days to take mini sessions. These sessions will be 30 minutes long. One location will be for more urban style portraits and the other will have an option for country or urban. Appointments will start at 8:00 am in the morning, with a quick break for lunch and ending the day around 5:00 pm. When you call or message me for an appointment, let me know which day you would like and if it's the Sparta location let me know if you prefer urban or country. I'll try to schedule these as close as I can without having drive all over town.

The package fee MUST BE PAID IN FULL the day of the session. You will receive a password to view the pictures in an online gallery and then you'll select which photos you want for your card (cards will have their own gallery for viewing and selecting). All orders must be turned in by November 30.

Call, email or send me a message on Facebook to book your appointment today! Going fast! (I already have 2 appointments filled as I post this).

Mandy + Nick | Engagement/Family

Over the Labor Day weekend, I had two sessions. This was my second one and let me just say.... wow! Mandy and Nick are such an adorable couple and Aithen, Nick's son, sure is a looker too. He's so cute and such a charmer. Mandy and Nick will be getting married in December and they wanted some engagement pictures taken as well as some updated family photos. I know it's going to be a beautiful wedding. I mean come on, look how gorgeous this family is! :)

Well I'll stop rambling and let you get to the good stuff. below are my favorites from their session. It was very hard to decide so I just selected a lot of them. That's probably the hardest part of my job, choosing my favorites to blog and post on Facebook.

Mandy and Nick, I wish you two nothing but the best. Your wedding day will be amazing and I hope you two enjoy a wonderful life together.

Meet Kelsey - 2012 Senior

I hope you all have had a great Labor Day weekend. I know I did because I got to do everything I love... hang out with family, take photos, read and catch up on a few TV shows. This holiday weekend I scheduled 2 photo shoots and the first one was Kelsey, a senior ready and willing to go to any locations I wanted to. The only requirement she had is that we went to her local pool for some photos because she's on the swim team. Other than that I could go anywhere I wanted to. I actually found some new places to go to and I was excited about that. Kelsey, thank you for a great session. You were an absolute blast to hang out with and I wish you all the best in the future.
