Kelsey | 2013 Senior

Meet Kelsey. A 2013 senior from Sparta and she's absolutely gorgeous! Seriously, the first couple shots you'll see below are literally the first couple of photos I took of her. I think she was a tad bit nervous at first but it didn't take long for her to get over that LOL. We drove all over town using great spots, some that I have used before and others that I had only used a couple times and finally went back to. It's hard to not get bored with the same locations but I'm slowly finding new ways to make the same spots new different.

Some of my favorite shots are with her boyfriend, Rex. They're so cute and I could tell that Rex was ready for whatever I wanted him to do. Not a shy bone in his body... or at least he wasn't with me. My absolutely favorite pictures of Kelsey were taken at this old building that is sitting empty at the moment. It has these awesome stairs that are starting to crumble and there are weeds growing through the concrete. A hidden gem that I almost forgot about. What's funny is that when we were there, a cop pulled up and asked us what we were doing. I guess he thought we were vandalizing or something. We told him we were taking senior pictures and he literally looked at us like we were crazy. I guess it didn't look like a location worthy of pictures but I told him to trust me LOL. He drove off in confidence that we wouldn't tear anything up or do anything we weren't suppose to do. It was worth it though and I thank him for not making us leave because the pictures taken there were absolutely stunning! Seriously, Kelsey, you rocked your session and they couldn't have turned out any better!

I hope you love your pictures as much as I do, Kelsey. I enjoyed your session and getting to meet your boyfriend and the others who came along. It was so much fun. Good luck the rest of your senior year. I wish you all the best.

Seriously, how cute are they!!!

And here's where the cop came!

Cassidy | 2013 Senior

Fall is my favorite time of year for pictures and it's the time of year where I'm booked solid on weekends for about 3 months. You won't hear me complain about that though because I love what I do. When you find something you love, it doesn't feel like work.

You probably have seen a lot of senior sessions posted lately and that's because this is their favorite time of year. A lot of schools need their yearbook pictures turned in after Christmas so this is the perfect time for getting pictures taken. I first met Cassidy when she came along for her friend Lacy's senior session. You can view Lacy's session here. She had such a great time that day that she went home and told her mother that she had a blast and wanted me to do her senior pictures too. When her mother called to tell me that it just made my day!!! You'll hear me say over and over again that senior sessions are my favorite and to hear that they have just as much fun as I do just makes it even better. Since I had already met Cassidy I knew that she would be comfortable in front of the camera for her session.

I drove down to her home town and we took pictures on the family farm. It was absolutely perfect. The minute I drove up I saw like 10 spots I wanted to use! I love it when that happens. It's always nice to use a new location. It keeps my images fresh and unique. And that's exactly what Cassidy wanted. She wanted her pics to be unique and fun. After a while we decided to drive over to Fort de Chartres to finish her session. The entrance is my absolute favorite. It's an amazing spot and only the 2nd time I have been there.

Cassidy, I had such a great time taking your seniors photos. I hope you like your pictures as much as I do. You were amazing and every picture I took turned out great! Enjoy the rest of your senior year. It'll go by fast!

Brianna | 2013 Senior

Hey everyone! I want you all to meet Brianna. She's from my hometown and will be graduating in the spring. I think her mother called to schedule her session back in like May or something crazy like that. Brianna wanted a fall session and she figured I would book up quickly (which I did) so she wanted to make sure she was penciled in.

When I met up with Brianna this past weekend, I just knew it was going to be a great session by the amount of accessories in the back of her mom's van! I was completely thrilled. I love accessories and they really do make a difference in how photos turn out. Brianna even had her hair stylist with her to help make sure everything was in place! Talk about being prepared. After an hour of and a half, I ended up with tons of great images...almost too many! I love digital photography. You can take as many pictures as you'd like and delete all the bad ones.

I wish you all the best Brianna. I hope you enjoy every single minute of your senior year. It goes by fast...trust me! Enjoy my favorites from your session.
