A couple of weeks ago, you may have seen a blog post (and Facebook photos) posted on the Ellis Family. Courtenay had contacted me about her husband Matt coming home from Afghanistan and wanted me to be there for his return. Since I couldn’t make it all the way to Springfield to take candids of Matt reuniting with his family, I decided to give them a complimentary family photo shoot instead. You can see their session here. It got me thinking that I should do this for all family and members in the military. Saying goodbye is hard as well as the time our soldiers are over there fighting for our country. There are times when family members can’t know the location of where their loved one is and it’s tough. Matt had been gone for a whole year and honestly, I don’t know how they did it. That’s such a long time to be away from your spouse and I think Courtenay and Matt showed me just how strong love is and that it’s what really matters in life.
So with that said, I’m pleased to announce my Military Give Back Program.
I’ll be giving 2 free photo sessions to military families and members who are getting ready to deploy, who are currently deployed, or those who are coming home. The military member must have orders to deploy or a letter of command. Orders shall be a departure period of 4 or more months overseas and at least 3 months prior to returning to the United States.
My Gift:
• Waived session fee (up to 2 sessions per family)
• CD with images from those sessions (with rights to make copies/enlargements)
Schedule a family portrait session before deployment or after deployment. There is usually leave time so that’s also an opportunity to get a session in. Matt was able tome home for a couple weeks once his youngest son was born. That would be a great opportunity for a newborn session.
If you have any questions please give me a call. I’m really looking forward to giving back to the ones who risk their lives every day. This is my way of saying Thank You! If you have any questions just give me a call.
What a wonderful thing to do for those who serve our country!
Kacey Wolters you are the cat's meow 🙂 What a wonderful thing you are doing!
