Westerman Family

In the past week I’ve had 2 sessions for family members. It’s been a nice change. Not that I don’t like taking pictures for strangers, but you’re just more comfortable around family. Saturday I had Ella’s 4 year pics and then Sunday my Aunt Stacey scheduled her family pictures. I don’t think they’ve had a family picture taken since her youngest (now 7) was a baby. It’s been a while for sure! The past two years we’ve been trying to find a day that works for us both and nothing ever worked out. So when this year came around, I made sure that we would find a day and pencil it in. I think we booked this back in April or May LOL.

Stacey married a man named Mark and he grew up on a farm just outside of Steeleville. This farm is amazing and if you’ve been following my blog (or Facebook page) you’ll notice the house. I’ve used this house for numerous photo shoots and it just happens to be the house that Mark grew up in. It’s very old and nobody lives in it anymore but it holds so many memories for Mark. Naturally, they wanted their family pictures there.

We started at the house and worked out way down the lane to an old bridge and the “Westerman Rd.” sign. Ever since I started my business I always think about that lane. Right when you turn on to it, there’s a slight hill before coming to the bridge. It’s high enough where all you see is trees. I knew I wanted to take pictures on it one day for them and I’m glad I did. Those are by far my favorite pictures of their whole session. I love every picture! It’s always hard to pick favorites but this time, since they are family, it was even harder. I’m so glad we finally found a day to do them and I’m so excited to show you my favorites. Enjoy!
