I should have blogged about this wedding last week but with getting ready for the bridal show I kept moving it down my “TO DO” list. My schedule was crazy and time just got away from me. Better late than never… right!!!

So, this beautiful winter wedding that I’m about to post is my step sister’s wedding. Chris and Loran are high school sweethearts and on January 5 they stood in front of their family and friends and promised to love each other and support each other for the rest of their lives. Loran walked down the isle which was lined with candles and the church was still decorated for Christmas. The ceremony was short and sweet and before I knew they were officially married! Wedding days seem to go by fast but on this particular day it seemed like time was flying by. Loran and I had worked up a timeline that ensured a lot of time for portraits. She and Chris did a first look and that was awesome because it gave me more time to get bridal portraits. Since they saw each other before the ceremony and took pictures then, we had a ton of time after the ceremony to go off location to SIU campus lake. The specific location at the lake that Loran wanted meant that we all would have to walk through the snow. I had no clue and ended up walking through the snow with ballet flats! Needless to say, after 45 minutes my feet were froze but we ended up getting really awesome pictures. The things I do for great portraits!!! It really was worth it and I’m so glad to show you my favorites from Chris and Loran’s big day. Congrats to my step sister Loran and her new husband, Chris. I wish you two many years of happiness together!
