Ellis + Taylor | Belleville, IL Engagement Session

Do you know what time it is???? It’s time for the first engagement blog post of the year and I know I keep posting stuff like that lately but you have no idea how excited I am that I’m shooting sessions again. Vacations and down times are nice but I can’t go more than a week or so before I’m ready to get back into my routine. Try 3 months!!!

So, without making you all wait any longer, I’ll get right into it. Meet Ellis and Taylor. I first met this adorable couple at my step sister’s wedding last January. Both of them were in the bridal party and since I was taking the photos I was around them for most of the day. They are so fun and so loving towards one another. When Taylor contacted me about 6 months later or so telling me she was engaged I was thrilled! The only thing was, I hadn’t opened my books for 2015 yet and I told her to just wait it out just a bit longer. I was crossing my fingers that she would wait for me because I was really excited to do her wedding. Well… the start of the year came and I opened my books up for 2015 and she immediately emailed me and said she was ready to do whatever the next step was. That’s a bride that I love! A bride that knows what she wants.

Ellis and Taylor met at the First United Methodist Church in Sparta, IL and so our first stop was there. It was 7:30am and was freezing but we made it work. I knew the sun was coming up in a bit and it would warm it up eventually. Their session continued to Belleville, IL where their reception will be and a few surrounding areas. They had so many ideas!!! Both are music majors and there was a mural painted on the building by their reception location. How awesome is that!!! Everything went just as planned and I’m so excited about their upcoming wedding.
