I can’t believe it’s been a whole month since I blogged last. I got so busy at the end of the year and then the holidays were upon us and time just got away from me. I did take some much needed “me time” and caught up on sleep, crafting and hanging out with my family and friends. I can’t tell you how much I needed a little bit of a break. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my job and I LOVE my clients, but it was time for a break LOL.
During my time off from sessions, I did make a trip to St. Louis to the Botanical Gardens with my friend Lindsey. I wanted to go to their garden glow last year but the weather wasn’t the greatest and I never made the drive. This year, the weather was perfect so I mentioned that we go. Lindsey was excited because that meant that she could practice her photography skills too. I’m secretly hoping to teach her everything I know so that she’ll second shoot some weddings with me but don’t tell her that hheheehe.
Anywho, we made the drive up and the night was absolutely perfect. As you drove into the Botanical Gardens you could instantly see how awesome the light display was and we couldn’t wait go get inside. I can’t wait to show you my favorites below because it’s just seriously so awesome and LED lights are pretty much my new favorite thing for the holidays now. So vibrate and loud, kind of like me LOL.
I’m only showing you the favorites that I took. I wasn’t sure is Lindsey would approve of me showing off her work just yet but just wait my friends, she’s a natural and I’m hoping to show you some of her work soon!
This tunnel was probably one of my favorite spots.
I loved the tree with lights too but there’s just something about it in black/white that I absolutely love. I seriously may enlarge it and hang it up in my house!
It was hard to get pics inside the maze but this shows you a little of how the shrubs were lighted throughout.
My FAVORITE part of the walk was towards the end by the blue tree. It’s so awesome! I can’t even….
I’m assuming that the Botanical Gardens will do the same next year and if so, you all need to plan a trip. The kids would love it and there’s even a mistletoe area at the end for a photo op. For obvious reasons, I stayed clear of the mistletoe LOL.
Hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve. I’m so excited to see what 2015 has in store for me and all of you.
