A couple of years ago, I took wedding photos for Jenna’s friend, Melanie. I remember meeting all the bridesmaids at Melanie’s wedding but Jenna stood out to me. I remembered that she was the bridesmaid that was super strong and fit and I also remember taking a picture of Jenna flexing. Back in July, we made things official and we started discussing engagement pictures.
Darren and Jenna wanted to take pictures at Randolph County Lake, where they would be bringing a canoe. The idea was that they might stand up in the canoe while out in the water. That soon became just an idea because there was no way they could even try it without falling. I think they could have pulled it off but they were nervous about getting wet LOL.
We finished up the session at Fort Kaskaskia were the most beautiful fall colors surrounded us. Jenna wore this amazing navy blue lace dress, the skies were overcast so it made the pictures dreamy and more romantic. I had so much fun meeting Darren and their dog, Conan. Engagement sessions should take place in locations that mean something for each couple and I really feel like the locations we went to were perfect. I cannot wait for you to see my favorites from their session. Get ready because they are adorable!
Loved the canoe!
Conan is the cutest dog ever and the most well-behaved!
Definitely a favorite! I used my macro lens too, which is cool. I needed the extra length to get them on the dock without me being on the dock with them.
I love Fort Kaskaskia on a cloudy day.
How cute are they!!!!
