Jimmy + Ashley | Edwardsville Courthouse Wedding | St. Louis Wedding Portraits

October 14, 2016

Filed in: Uncategorized

I stood in a room with 3 other people last Friday. It wasn’t just any room, like a family room or office. It was a judges chambers at the Edwardsville courthouse. There I stood as a witness to one of the most intimate weddings I’ve ever been apart of. Jimmy and Ashley have been planning this day for such a long time. Life got in the way and the date changed a few times, but nothing was going to get in the way of those two getting married. The ceremony was short and sweet but the words they said to one another are forever lasting. The judge said that the vows are not to be taken lightly. Marriage is something more important than just a piece of paper two people sign. It’s a commitment to one another. It’s a life long promise.

Now, I wasn’t able to take my camera into the courthouse, but I was able to get some photos outside the building with Jimmy and Ashley. It’s a beautiful building and I loved the architecture. Additional photos were taken in St. Louis, which I’m always a fan of. It’s just such a photogenic city and then when you put a cute bride and groom in the mix, you’re bound to get amazing photos.

It’s finally Friday and that means it’s officially the weekend. I have a busy weekend of senior photos and another wedding and I’m looking forward to it.

The Kirkwood Park in Kirkwood, MO is so darn pretty!

And the people are so nice there too! This lady was out walking her dog (named Ashley) and she  was so sweet.

I made Ashley’s bouquet. Now I realize I’m not a florist but I think I did a pretty good job LOL.
