Pierre Menard Engagement Session

So guess who’s getting married this Saturday… THESE TWO! McKenzi and Jon are getting married and I know it seems a little last minute to be blogging their engagement session but we didn’t get the session in till recently. Covid has made couples change their wedding plans and McKenzi and Jon had to do just that. They were supposed to be married a few months ago but then everything changed. They had to find a new date, new venue and even their photographer! They had booked Savanna Kathleen Photography. If you don’t follow her work you need to go find her on Facebook right now! Savanna just welcomed her second child into the world and wasn’t able to shoot McKenzi and Jon’s wedding this weekend, so that’s where I come in.

I met McKenzi and Jon at the Pierre Menard Home a couple weeks back and OMG we had the best time. It was a little warm (but come on, it’s July so it’s expected) but it was right at sunset. The lighting was AHHHHmazing and McKenzi wore this beautiful white dress that she had worn previously at her wedding shower. They had already taken photos with Savanna so they didn’t need a ton of new photos. They were just on board with meeting with me to get in front of my camera and get used to my shooting style. I could have taken pictures all night of these two. They are so dang cute and McKenzi definitely knows how to work a camera.

I’m so glad we were able to find the time before the wedding day to make it happen. I know schedules get crazy, especially with planning a wedding through a pandemic, but they absolutely nailed their engagement session and I cannot wait to get these two in front of my camera again this Saturday!
