Forest Park Engagement Session – St. Louis, Missouri

If you recognize these two you’re probably thinking “they’re already married” and you’re totally right! I didn’t think it would take me so long to blog Jessica and Luke’s engagement session but here we are in winter 2023 and I’m catching up on blogging all of my beautiful sessions from the second half of my 2022 season.

Jessica and Luke are the sweetest couple and they wanted to go to St. Louis for their session. I’m never going to turn down a trip to the city so I was all for it. There are so many places to go in STL but Forest Park is where we decided to shoot. There are so many different variety of locations to use in Forest Park. First we shot some photos by the Great Basin in front of Art Hill, which is one of my absolute favorite spots. Jessica wore this adorable dusty rose colored dress which popped against the scenery. The light and neutral tones are always my favorite! We were lucky enough to not be there with a ton of people that evening. Not that we wouldn’t have been able to on a busy day but it just makes things a smidge easier to shoot when you’re not working around people.

I could have taken photos of these two for hours but I had to control myself and remember to not overshoot LOL. IYKYK. So it was time for an outfit change and we made our way over to The Muny. The grounds by The Muny are absolutely stunning and so colorful. It’s another favorite location of mine and my couples are always in agreement with me. The evening light was so beautiful and it was seriously the perfect evening for a photo shoot. Jessica and Luke just kept smiling at each other and they rocked every pose and prompt that I gave them. They made my job super easy!

Like I said before, it was so hard to NOT overshoot these two. I could have literally taken another hour of photos and still wanted more 🙂 It was tough picking favorites for this blog post but I think I’ve narrowed it down to the best of the best. Enjoy.
