From the moment I woke up this morning I just knew it was going to be a good day. The sun was shining bright, it was almost 80 degrees and for a day in the middle of March… I’ll take it, especially when that day just happens to be the day I’m taking Lindsey’s senior pictures. Poor Lindsey scheduled, I think, 2 sessions and they both got rained out. Since she’s a busy girl being a rock star on the basketball court and playing volleyball, we had to push back her session to spring. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and the reason why her previous 2 sessions were cancelled was so that we could take them today. I cannot put into words how beautiful it was today. If you live in the Southern Illinois area you know what I’m talking about.
The location for Lindsey’s pictures was at her very own farm. I was pretty excited because it was going to mean new ideas that I haven’t done before and because I knew she’d be pretty comfortable on her own property. Not that I wasn’t expecting Lindsey to be nervous, especially around me. I’ve known her for quite some time now. But it’s still nice that she was close to home. We even took pictures at her grandma’s house down by her pond!
I usually take a break over the weekend after I do photo shoots, just so I can spend time with my family, or clean or work on some of my hobbies. But not today. I couldn’t wait to get home so I could start editing these pictures. You’ll know what I mean once you scroll down and take a look. She’s simply stunning! From her prom dress down to her cowboy boots. She’s a country girl for sure.
Lindsey, thank you so much for an amazing day. I had a blast hanging with you and your mom. I hope you enjoy your senior pictures just as much as I do.
Kacey, you do such a great job !!
You had a beautiful subject too !
