Jordan took Ashley to New York to see the Boston Red Soxs take on her beloved New York Yankees. After the game they asked someone if they could get down by the field to take pictures. She’s standing there with her camera asking the security guard if he could take their picture with the field and when she turned around she found Jordan on his knee, behind home plate, holding out her ring. Ashley obviously said yes! It’s such a great story to tell and so romantic.
But there’s more to their story. The next chapter in Ashley and Jordan’s life would be their wedding and they called me to ask if I was available on their special day. When a bride contacts me, I immediately get excited. The best part is hearing them talk about the details; location, church/venue, flowers, colors, etc. Ashley’s favorite color is pink. The wedding was held at Our Lady of the Lourdes in Sparta and the reception was at the World Shooting Recreational Complex, also in Sparta. Wedding talk just makes me happy.
The day started off with rain, and lots of it. I literally spent the whole morning praying for the rain to let up, at least just for a little bit so I could get picture in. God answered my prayers and literally 15 minutes before I started portraits it stopped raining. Seriously! The light was gorgeous and the bridal party was amazing to work with. There was even a stretch hummer limo to take us around after the ceremony to get pictures. I even got to ride shotgun with the limo driver LOL. The reception had amazing food, catered by 17th Street Bar and Grill. The toasts gave were heart warming and their guests danced the night away. Ashley and Jordan even had an ice sculpture there that had a tube swirled inside for shots. That didn’t last long though because champaign was poured in it and it froze up! Oops.
Ashley and Jordan, thank you so much for letting me be apart of your special day. You two were a blast to work with. I know you two will be so happy together and I can’t wait to see what your future has in store for you. Have fun in Fiji on your honeymoon. I still think your photographer should have been invited to join you. Ha ha. Enjoy my favorites from your wedding day.
There she is. Ha ha.
Gorgeous details shots! Love her ring and the flowers.
Ashley wore a crown instead of a veil. No veil for this princess.
Hanger that her dress hung on.
Seriously, how awesome were her heels girls??? Gorgeous!
Ashley, you made a beautiful bride. Simply stunning.
I kept calling Jordan my “model”. The camera loves him. Such a stud.
Love the black dresses with the pink flowers!
Love this shot! So funny.
Jordan’s best man towers him! He just picked him up like a little kid LOL.
One of my favorite shots of the day.
Jordan loved his suspenders!
