I’ve known Dani and her husband Jake for a while now. We’ve had a lot of photo shoots together. I’m sure Jake would tell you they’ve had enough, but not Dani. She loves getting family pictures and now that they are expecting their first child, Jake better be prepared for a LOT of pictures in the future.

Dani contacted me right away and told me she wanted me to do her maternity pictures. I was extremely excited because first of all she was pregnant and second because I just knew she was going to be so darn cute. I was right! When they pulled up last Saturday for the session, she stepped out and I was immediately grinning with excitement. Dani looked so cute! She would tell you otherwise though. I think most pregnant women feel they look awful and holding a ton of water weight, but being pregnant is such a beautiful thing. I’m glad I get to take pictures for expecting mothers and capture them in this moment in their lives. Dani likes herself best in black/white so that’s why every picture below is in black/white. Honestly though, I almost prefer maternity/newborn pictures to be in black/white. Just more classic and timeless.

With the temperature already above 80 degrees at 9am in the morning, we worked quickly so that Dani didn’t have to be out in the heat too long. I think she looked absolutely stunning and you would never know by looking at her pictures that it was that hot. Dani and Jake, I’m so excited for you two! You will be amazing parents and I can’t wait to meet your little boy soon. Enjoy my favorites from your session.
