Long time no see on the blog front. So sorry that I haven’t posted much lately. I sort of feel like I’ve been a little MIA lately but the truth is I’ve just been enjoying a great weekend with family and friends. I trust you all have had a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend soaking up the sun, enjoying some BBQ and also remembering the men and women who have served and who are currently serving our country.

My weekend was amazing. I had 3 photo shoots and first up is Kristin, Brandon and Hayden.

We met up at Kristin’s family cabin and lake and it was amazing to say the least. There was a great breeze coming off of the lake (thank goodness because it was already like 80 degrees at 9am) and it was quiet and peaceful. Definitely a great location for photos. I always love when my clients use family property. It gives me a chance to shoot somewhere new and somewhere that means something to that particular family. We started by the lake and using the boats as a prop so to speak. After that we moved over to the cabin. Seriously, this cabin is something you read about in books. It’s so charming and the landscaping was perfect. We all had a great time. I think the cutest part of the day was when Hayden got out his own camera and shot some pictures himself. I had my own little 2nd shooter for the day! Maybe I should hire him to help me out LOL.
