I’ve known the Siemers my whole life. Growing up in a small town you pretty much know everyone and the Siemers Family is one of those families that I know very well. They are really great people and I was so excited when Lacey contacted me about taking their pictures. She told me exactly what she was looking for. She wanted pictures with her immediate family (mom, dad and brother) and then she wanted pictures with her family. Lacey even showed up this past Saturday with a list that she wrote out while she was getting ready that morning. I absolutely loved that! We just went right down the list and marked off as we went.
The location for their session took place on some property just outside of Steeleville. A family friend owns the property and they were nice enough to come unlock the gate for us that morning. Nobody lives on this property. There’s a run down home that I think they are discussing tearing down. The thought saddens me LOL. You all know how much I love old buildings and barns because of the texture and colors. There’s also a lake but it was seriously like 90 degrees that morning already and I didn’t want them out in the direct sun. Now if it would have been a cloudy day I would have LOVED to go by their lake, but we just suck by the house in the shade.
We all had a good time and I’m so excited to show you a few of my favorites from their session. When I say “few” I really mean a “lot” ha ha. I just can’t help it though. I really wish I could show every single picture I took of them but I can’t because this post would just go on and on. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Lacey and her brother Cole. Love it!
I told them to act like they liked each other for a quick second for a good picture. This is what they did.
