Where do I begin??? I have so many good things to say about this session and I’m not sure where to begin. I guess I’ll start off by telling you that we started off Lacy’s session in Waterloo. There was a restaurant with great rod iron tables/chairs and she wanted a more urban feel for some of her photos. I thought it was perfect since I had never really taken photos like that before. People kept walking by us and getting in my way but I kept reminding myself that patience is key and I will get a good shot if I just wait them out. It turns out I was right!!!

After hitting up a couple other places in town, I took her and her “crew” to Mayestown, a little town about 20 minutes from Waterloo. Yes, I said “crew” because that’s what it felt like. Her mother and father came along and she also brought her two best friends. They were so much fun and everyone had great ideas for Lacy. Seriously, I think I’m going to hire her dad as my assistant LOL, he kept finding the perfect spots for me. When you have an eye for it, you use it. Some of my favorite shots from Lacy’s session were in the places that he found for me.

Mayestown is just that special town that has a lot to offer. It may be small, with only about 148 (according to the 2000 census) but it has the most amazing spots for the country settings my seniors ask for. In fact, there are almost TOO many locations to choose from. Most of my sessions usually last about 1.5 hours but Lacy’s took 3.5 hours. Yeah, I know, that seems like a lot and not many get that kind of time with me, but with 5 clothing changes and 2 towns, time just gets away from you. We all were completely worn out and hungry afterwards so Lacy’s parents took us to a cute little ice cream shop for ice cream and drinks. It was a nice way to end her session and something I don’t usually do with clients. Not because I don’t want to, but because of time. I’m usually running off to another session so there’s no time for hanging out with them afterwards. I had such a great time with them all and I’m so glad to show you some of my favorites from this session.

Lacy, thank you so much for an amazing day. I had a blast and I enjoyed spending time with your parents and best friends as well. They were a hoot! I will forever remember those “jumping” shots. I wish you all the best as you continue on with your senior year. Enjoy every minute because it goes by fast.

My favorite of the day!!!!
