I’m way overdue with posting about this wedding. I’m not going to make a bunch of excuses but really it just came down to me being super busy with the 3 weddings and 24 photo shoots in October, along with working about 20-24 hours at another job. Let’s just say that I did not sleep a whole to or eat properly last month. I honestly can’t believe that Thanksgiving is 2 days away and I’m just now posting about this wedding. UGH. Better late than never I guess LOL.
Joey and Kara were married on a gorgeous October day at a Bed and Breakfast in St. Mary, MO. It’s was a tad chilly but nothing was going to stop them from having an outdoor ceremony overlooking the countryside. The house was amazing and all the little rooms were held so much character and colors. It was one of those homes you just felt at home in. As the girls were getting their hair done, I walked around the house taking pictures of all the details and preparing for the ceremony that Joey and Kara would promise their lives to one another in front of their family and friends. when it was time to head down for the wedding to start I couldn’t believe how much the day had flown and how much fun I was having with the families and bridal party. It was definitely one of the best wedding parties I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The bridesmaids probably thought I was torturing them and kept them out in the cold weather way too long, but I was just making sure I got all the shots I wanted LOL.
After the ceremony, I followed the bridal party to a winery on the way to the reception, to try and get some bridal party shots. Needless to say the limo driver (well bus driver) got lost and had no clue where he was going. We finally ended up at the winery and actually crashed another wedding going on there. It was pretty funny that we walked through another wedding just to get some shots by the vineyards LOL. That too, was worth it!
We finally made it to the reception where it was decorated in fall colors and banquet style tables. Everyone was ready to dance the night away and wish Joey and Kara an amazing life together. They really are a perfect couple. I wish them many years of happiness and joy. Joey and Kara, thank you so much for letting me follow you around and capture your big day. I had a blast and it was so nice getting to know you two. Take care and enjoy looking through my wedding favorites.
