We originally scheduled their engagement shoot for 2 weeks ago but Mother Nature had a different plan for us and it poured down rain. I’m pretty sure Whitney texted me and said they lost power so it wasn’t just rain, it was a storm. I’m one of those people who believes that everything happens for a reason. Their session was cancelled and rescheduled to a day that was absolutely gorgeous. It was a tad bit windy but it was beautiful. We met downtown in Du Quoin and roamed around some old buildings and alleys. Then we made our way back out to the fairgrounds for a few pics in Bruce’s favorite…. CAMO! I could tell he wasn’t exactly looking forward to pictures. I mean, what groom is. But I kept telling him that if he could just love on Whitney and do what I asked that the session would go by quickly and we’d get him in that camo jacket. Boy, he perked right up and started rocking his poses, etc. I couldn’t have asked for more from him. And Whitney, oh my gosh, you are gorgeous! I love your hair and your style. You two are just too cute and I had so much fun taking your engagement pictures. So, even though these pictures have made their way on Facebook already, I’m posting them again just because I wanted people to read about your awesome session. I’m looking forward to your wedding day where I can get you two in front of my camera again.
