This is definitely a post for the ladies out there. If you love jewelry raise your hand! I know I do and it’s one of my favorite things to shoot at engagements and weddings. I use my Canon 100mm macro lens and I crank up my aperture (depending on the light I have) and I take a LOT of shots. I like to take a lot because it’s hard to tell how sharp an image is on the camera screen. I like to get creative and use my surroundings as well as themes that may fit each couple. Sometimes it’s the bouquet at the wedding, or if it’s a fall session I’ll use a leaf. There are so many ways to shoot a ring but the most important thing to remember is to keep it sharp. When I’m editing these images I crank up the sharpness just to make the ring pop a bit more.
