Dustin + Natalie | Country Farm Engagement, Campbell Hill, IL

April 3, 2014

Filed in: Uncategorized

I’ve been up since about 5:30am (couldn’t sleep and then thunderstorms) so I’ve been pretty productive today. I took a shower, did the dishes, Swiffered the floors throughout the house and did 2 loads of laundry all before 7:30am. I then moved on to finishing up an amazing engagement session I had on Sunday.

I’ve been in contact with Natalie for months now and I’ve been so excited to meet her and her fiancé Dustin. I finally got to meet them on Sunday, which was gorgeous by the way unlike the weather we’re having now. They were wanting a more country feel to their pictures so I offered up my aunt’s farm. Now this meant that Dustin and Natalie would have to drive about 45 minutes to come to me for this session. I normally like to find a place nearby for everyone but I had never shot in any areas past Carbondale and they’re from the Anna area. I really couldn’t think of any places down that direction so they went with my plan. It was a perfect day to be on the farm. They even brought their dog Nick with them and let me just warn you now… CUTE ALERT! Their dog is so pretty and he was a sweetheart.
The session went very smoothly and I swear Dustin practiced at home because he was a natural! Most grooms-to-be aren’t too thrilled about portraits but you would never know it. Like I tell all the guys, “just love on your girl and you’ll do great”.
They’ll be married in October at a wonderful bed and breakfast in Cobden, IL and I cannot wait. Till then, enjoy looking at their engagement pictures. They are fabulous!
P.S. If you’re in my area, please be safe during all the storms we’re having.

This ring show is PERFECT since they’re having a fall wedding.

Nick is such a cutie!
