Oh my goodness, I don’t even know where to start with this one. Be prepared for a LOT of images because I just couldn’t choose. I love so many things about this wedding. I don’t know if I love the venue, vintage theme, Katie’s headpiece or the beautiful decorations the most. Everything was amazing.  I’ve shot a couple weddings at The Wedding Garden before. It’s in Carbondale and it’s so beautiful. It’s the perfect location for a wedding if you want a ceremony and reception in one place. There’s even a room where the bride gets ready as well as a room for the groom. The groom’s room is amazing with tons of “dude” accents. It’s definitely a cool place for the guys to hang out in eating pizza and having a few drinks before the ceremony.

There’s one thing about The Wedding Garden that is slightly difficult…. there’s no shade! So for portraits, especially on a day where there’s not a cloud in sight, meant that we were wanting to go elsewhere for bridal party pictures. The blooming trees around SIU’s campus were gorgeous and Katie suggested it. I fell in love with the idea and it turned out to be a great decision. I had so much fun with the bridal party and we ended up getting finished early so that meant more down time before the ceremony for the group. They were happy with that since it was tad bit hot. I actually got sun burnt from being outside for pictures for about 1.5 hours LOL. I should just avoid the sun all together.

After months of planning, Tim and Katie had the wedding of their dreams and they were surrounded with a ton of family and friends. They actually had to bring out another table for dinner because more people showed up that they hadn’t counted on. I’ve never been married before but I bet it’s an amazing feeling to be in a  room filled with all of your family and friends and know that they are all there for you, supporting you and encouraging you on to the next chapters of your life. I know Tim and Katie were grateful and blessed to share it with all of them and I’m super blessed to have been the one to capture the moments that they’ll look back on the rest of their lives.
