So I made the first move this past weekend and bought paint samples for the new office. And I was shocked when I put them up that I went for the 2nd choice and not the one I had my eye on for weeks now. I thought I wanted something super pale and soft and I’ve made my decision to go a tad darker on the walls. I can’t show you now… that’s a secret for when I start actually painting and making progress.
In the meantime, I wanted to show you all my inspiration for this girl cave (that’s what I’m calling it). My goal is to always want to be IN this room, whether it’s working or even just reading a book. You should love what you do and love where you do it at.
My theme for this space is “modern chic” and it’s going to have a color palette of light and dark purples, greys and whites. I want a super comfy desk chair, lots of mirrors to open up the space and add more light, stainless steel and silver accents along with fresh flowers as long as Huck doesn’t eat them LOL. I may just have to settle for silk arrangements but that will be fine I’m sure.
I hope to start painting this week! My awesome friend Lindsey will be helping me. She keeps asking if I’m going to have other chairs in that room, mostly for her to sit in and get comfy so she can crochet while I work. Don’t worry Linds… I’ll have 2 coming!
