Jacob + Bekah | Fort Worth, TX Proposal

April 7, 2015

Filed in: Uncategorized

A couple weeks ago I made the trip to Fort Worth, Texas with my best friend. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you already know this. I have cousins that live there and it’s been about a year since I’ve seen them all. The trip was pretty much planned a year ago when Rosemary asked if I could come down and take senior pictures for Luke (see blog tomorrow for Luke’s pics). Since I love traveling and I’ve never been to Texas, the thought sounded amazing and I was definitely going to make it happen. I also learned about a year ago that Jacob was wanting to propose to his girlfriend Bekah and asked that if I did indeed make the trip to Texas that he wanted to know so he could plan the proposal around my trip. So I’ve know for a WHOLE YEAR about this and it was VERY hard to keep a secret that Jacob was proposing!!!!

Jacob and I worked up a plan so that Bekah would be surprised. We told her she needed to get dressed up and look nice for FAMILY portraits. Since I made a 12-hour trip for senior portraits I might as well take some family pics too LOL. So she thought she was getting dressed up for that.

So I’m bossing everyone around, like usual, moving around from location to location. We were at the TCU campus and I knew Jacob wanted to use the fountain for the proposal. We made our way there and I posed the family there. Here’s one of those pics.

Then I said I needed to take more pics of Jacob and Luke together.

Then I asked if I was missing anything and Jacob goes, “can I get a few of just me and Bekah together?” So duh, I knew that was the plan and so I took a few….

Jacob said there was something missing from the picture and then Joel, Jacob’s dad, handed over the ring and I’ll just let the pics do the talking for a bit.

She said YES, obviously, and this is probably the happiest I’ve ever seen a guy look!

Luke was pretty excited to be getting a sister!

This was seriously one of the best mini vacations I’ve ever taken. My friend Lindsey make the trip with me and I thank her so much for helping me drive all that way just for a couple days to take pictures of this amazing moment.

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I post pictures from Luke’s senior pictures (also taken on TCU’s campus).
