Andy + Haley | Engaged | Albers, IL

A couple of years ago you might remember a certain wedding photo I posted on Facebook. It was a picture of a bridal party all posing on a combine. It go over 800 likes and it was a huge hit on social media. That’s the first time I met Haley. She was a bridesmaid and she’s such a sweet girl who’s now planning her very own wedding. I was so excited when she contacted me. In her email she said, “I don’t know if you remember me or not, but my name is Haley and I was in Katie’s wedding back in July of 2012 and I’m looking for a wedding photographer myself.” I knew exactly who she was and was so excited to get to know her better and her fiancĂ©, Andy.

Andy is a farmer/firefighter and when I first met him, last Friday, I was pulling into his driveway and he had the biggest grin on his face. I introduced myself and we started talking small talk while Haley was finishing getting ready. I could tell he was excited about the engagement session once he started talking about his tractor! He rebuilt this amazing John Deere tractor and it’s a true beauty (you’ll see below). Most guys are not in the mood for pictures, but if you do something manly they perk up and they enjoy it. I think that’s how Andy was. He did great for the session but once we got to the farm to get pics with the tractor, his attitude changed. He started coming up with ideas and suggested corn for ring shots and then even asked if we could used his father’s old car for a few pics.

The session turned out beautifully and I cannot wait till November when Haley walks down the isle to Andy and they say “I Do!”
