Tyler + Sarah | A Navy, Petal Pink and Burlap Wedding – Sparta, Illinois

September 21, 2015

Filed in: Uncategorized

Last weekend was a dream. The temperature was in the mid 70s, the sun was shining bright and it was Tyler and Sarah’s wedding day! Hair and makeup was done at Expressions Salon & Spa in Sparta and then we were off to Sarah’s parent’s house to get dressed. As Sarah stepped into her ball gown styled wedding dress, her bridesmaids stood before her and they all looked at how gorgeous she looked.

Tyler and Sarah decided to see each other before the ceremony and get all the portraits taken. They exchanged gifts and read letters that they wrote to each other. It was really a sweet moment. We finished up bridal party pictures and made our way over to St. John Lutheran Church, also in Sparta, for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Tyler and Sarah, along with their bridal party, took a trolley ride to the reception. Steeleville American Legion was the venue and it was decorated beautifully with rustic old doors, navy tablecloths and mismatched centerpieces of vintage vases and flowers. The entertainment was provided by XMC Mobile DJ (Troy Kueker) and it was an awesome ending to a perfect day.

I’m so honored that Tyler and Sarah wanted me to capture their special day. I had a wonderful time meeting all of their family and friends. Enjoy looking through my favorites.

I love this picture.

First look with daddy.

Sarah, you are GORGEOUS!

Looking handsome, Tyler.

Time for the first look!!!!

Tyler gifted Sarah a necklace and Sarah got Tyler a watch.

The groomsmen…

Tyler with the ushers.

Time for some fun.

There was juggling too!

Tyler accidentally stepped on the train of Sarah’s gown. How many family members does it take to get a dirt stain removed????? Apparently 4 LOL.

MARRIED!

BUBBLES!

Details of the reception.

Colorful socks.

Heroes for the night.

Best man gave a great speech.

The maid of honor rapped her speech! It was epic!

Then one of Tyler’s groomsmen gave a speech. I cannot remember his name, but he was a foreign exchange student from Germany and lived with Tyler and his family for a bit. He brought some German tradition to the evening.

A game to see how compatible they were for each other.

This cracks me up LOL.

And then they had to cut this heart out….

and Tyler had to carry Sarah through it.

Tyler was prepping for the garter…. he about fell when he went for his running start LOL.

Almost crashed into his bride!

First dance as HUSBAND and WIFE.

Sarah and her father.

Tyler and his mom.
