Jacob and Lesley were married a couple weeks ago in the small town of Steeleville, Illinois. It’s a quiet little town, the same town I grew up in, and it’s the perfect setting for a classic wedding. I always like when a wedding is all in one town because that usually means time for more portraits…and you all know I love to take as many bride and groom portraits as I can.

This wedding was a little different than the other weddings that I’ve shot. The ceremony took place early in the morning and the reception was over by 4:00pm. Honestly, it was actually awesome! After the reception was over, Jacob and Lesley had all afternoon/evening to themselves and that meant that we would have time for lots of portraits after the event before they left for St. Louis. They liked the fact that they would have a lot of alone time on their wedding day, to just enjoy each other’s company and take it all in. Most wedding days go by so fast and it’s hard to soak up the moments but Jacob and Lesley made sure that didn’t happen.

I had the best time with their family and friends and I love how their photos turned out. It took me a bit longer to get these photos edited (I blame the beach) but it’s going to be so worth it once you scroll through the images. Jacob and Lesley, I hope you two newlyweds are enjoying your new life together as husband and wife. The love you have for one another is so special and beautiful and I wish you two nothing but the best.
