After four years in the wedding industry, I can honestly say that Michael and Becky’s wedding day was unlike any wedding I’ve had before. It was special because it was the wedding of one of my dearest friends. I’ve known Becky for fourteen years and over the years we’ve always discussed her big day and how she envisioned it. She’s a graphic designer so she said she wanted to design all the stationary, she wanted a city wedding and she also said she wanted to have a big wedding. When you have as many friends as Becky does (and Michael), you have to have a big wedding.

I was excited to hear that Michael and Becky chose the Palladium as their wedding venue for the reception. It’s a place I had always wanted to shoot at, especially since it’s in the city. You don’t find venues like that in Southern Illinois LOL. The whole day was simply amazing… from the beautiful flowers, to the gorgeous blush bridesmaids dresses, the classic Catholic church and the elegant reception. My favorite part of the whole day was watching Michael and Becky dance their first dance as husband and wife. You could tell just how much they loved each other in that moment. Michael just couldn’t take his eyes off of his bride and it was so sweet to witness.

I’m so happy to share with you their wedding day. This was definitely one of my favorite weddings and I hope you all love these images as much as I do.

This mother of pearl belt buckle (on the bouquet) is a tradition in Becky’s family. Almost all of the women and the wives of the men have worn it on their wedding day in the last 100 years (pretty sure).
