Good morning! It’s Monday and I’m making a weekly “to do” list and my plan this week is to crush that list and get caught up on editing. I’m thankful I have clients who are very patient with me during the fall season.

First up on my list is to show you this pretty girl! Meet Sydnie. She’s a senior this year at Steeleville High School and you may recognize her (if you follow me on social media).  This past summer, while I was down in Alabama visiting my mother and stepfather, I was lucky enough to take a few senior portraits of Sydnie at the beach. How many seniors from Illinois get their senior portraits in Gulf Shores??? She just happened to be down there with another family and it worked out perfectly. It also gave us time to talk about her fall portrait session.

We decided a session close to sunset would be perfect and we narrowed down the location to Fort Kaskaskia and the Pierre Menard Home, down in Chester, Illinois. This is one of my favorite locations during the fall because of the gorgeous colors. Sydnie brought some fabulous outfits perfect for fall and one of my favorites is her black lace dress.
