Willie + Stephanie | Engagement At The Farm | Venedy, IL

Have you ever met someone and felt like you’ve known them your whole life? That’s exactly how I felt after meeting Willie and Stephanie. The minute I pulled up to the farm, I was greeted by Willie, who was driving his 1969 Cutlass. Stephanie told me that he had an old classic car that they would like to use in the photos and I’m so glad they did. I love when couples bring in something that’s unique to them. While Stephanie was finishing up getting ready (I’m usually always early to everything), I talked to Willie about the session and tried to calm his nerves by telling him the photo shoot would go super easy. His main job was to just love on Stephanie and be himself. None of that ‘Sears posing’ as I call it (stiff). My posing technique is simple and relaxed and I try to get my couples to be natural. Willie never really looked nervous, though. It was as if I was talking with an old friend. He was honestly just so chill about everything. Then I saw Stephanie walking over and we greeted each other with a big hug. I’ve been emailing her for a while now and it’s always so great to put a face to a name. She was grinning from ear to ear and she was so excited to start her very own ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS. I explained to Stephanie how that session would go and gave tips and ideas for posing for her and as we walked through the entire session, we casually talked about how they met and how Willie proposed. We also discussed the wedding and reception details, which I’m super excited about. I won’t give away any spoilers for that… you’ll have to wait till September when I post pictures!

My time with Willie and Stephanie flew by so fast and I don’t remember a time where we weren’t talking about something. Everything went by smoothly and they both did so well in front of my camera. I remember thinking, as I started my drive home, that it felt like I’ve known them my whole life. They are so fun and down to earth and they truly are the cutest couple ever! I cannot wait till September when these two get married!!! It’s going to be amazing.
