House Update | Living Room/Dinning Room

I’m blogging!!! Yay! It feels like forever since I’ve blogged and honestly, it has. It’s finally spring and winter is behind us, which means it’s time to kick it in to gear and start blogging more. I have lots of sessions and weddings right around the corner, but I’m super excited to share today’s blog post with you because it’s about my house! If you’ve been bugging me about house update pics, well now is the time.

I bought my home in June of last year and I still can’t believe it. The whole home buying process took forever, but deciding on the house only took me like a couple of hours. I had been stalking every realtor app for months and looked at a bunch of houses, but this house struck something deep inside of me. It showed up on my Zillow on a Thursday, I looked at it that afternoon and made an offer Monday morning. This house was mine. I feel like it was made for me. Was it the big bay window? Was it the huge basement with tons of built-in storage? Was it the sunroom built off the back of the house? Gosh, it was a mixture of all those things and more. If I am being honest, I loved this house mainly because of the living room and that big bay window. I’m a natural light photographer and when I walked into this living room I knew it was meant to be.

With a few cosmetic changes, this space is finally finished with the exceptions of hanging a few more things on the walls. I wish I had taken just a few more different angles of each room when I first bought the house, but you’ll be able to see the changes just fine.

I signed papers at 3:30pm and by 5:30pm that green carpet was getting pulled up, along with the carpet in the two bedrooms.

The front door is one of my favorite spots in the living room. That tiny window is AMAZING! And yes, the picture frame still has the silly picture that comes in it when you buy it. I need to put my own prints in them LOL.

I love antiques and rustic things mixed with new.

I still need to hang the three wooden chevrons to the wall above them (they are laying on the chair).

If you see something you like and are curious where I got it, just comment below. In the meantime, I’ll try to post links to everything below, probably in the next day or so.
