Everyone, I’d like to introduce you to Brooke and Jake. They will be getting married next June and I cannot wait. I know I always say that, but it’s true. I love weddings and I always have. There’s something about seeing a bride walk down the isle to the man of her dreams that gets me all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s a big moment and I get to have the honor of being the photographer to capture that moment. I cry at every wedding. Whether it’s when the father-of-the-bride sees his daughter in her wedding gown, or the walk with daddy down the isle. Sometimes it’s when couples are saying their vows that they wrote for one another. I’m almost always singing along and tearing up at the father/daughter dance because I dream of having that special dance with my father some day. If you know me well, you know that I love romantic movies and I slightly live in a fantasy world where love is like what you see in the Hallmark movies. I can’t help it. I just love LOVE.

The reason I say all this is because I get to capture Brooke and Jake’s love! I get to be a part of this beautiful chapter in their lives. Every couple has their own special personality and it’s always fun seeing how my couples interact with each other in front of my camera. I’ve know Brooke pretty much my whole life it seems. She’s another Steeleville girl and if you read my last post about the pros of living in a small town (Lauren and Mark’s engagement session), Brooke fits into the category. I grew up in the same church as her family and I’ve taken wedding portraits for some friends and cousins of hers. I even took Brooke’s senior photos! So when she told me she was engaged I just couldn’t wait to officially that boy of hers. Jake is so fun and sort of quiet (around me at least). He agreed that taking photos felt awkward but I assured him that it would be fun and not to worry. All he had to do was love on Brooke, hold her hand when I said to do so and nuzzle up to her when I gave the cue. Easy peezy! By the end of the session, I got to know Jake  little bit more and saw just how much he adores Brooke.

I have so many favorites from their session but I think below are my absolutely best of the best. Enjoy!
