It’s a little bittersweet writing this blog post because it’s the last wedding blog post of 2018. I cannot believe this year is almost over. When I book a wedding with a couple, I feel like time goes by so fast. The year flew by and month after month, another wedding would come and go. Emily and Kyle’s wedding day totally snuck up on me and in the blink of an eye it was over. Where does the time go??? Seriously, how is November almost over? Even though the wedding is over with, it’s definitely not forgotten. Photographs are so amazing because they get to tell the story over and over again. From Emily getting ready with her bridesmaids all the way to Emily and Kyle sharing their first dance as husband and wife. It’s all captured and they get to share that with their family and friends for years and years.

Being a wedding photographer is so much more than just taking pictures. It’s about capturing emotion and telling stories. I could share lots of stories from Emily and Kyle’s wedding. I could tell you that when Emily’s father and grandfather walked her down the isle that there wasn’t a dry eye in the church. I could also tell you that when Emily and Kyle shared their wedding cake that Kyle tried to smear icing on Emily’s nose. I’m not the best writer in the world and I know for a fact that I am terrible at describing moments like that. That’s why I take pictures. People often say, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” and I couldn’t agree more. I tend to talk too much, and I certainly have written blog posts that are super long and that’s why I’m just going to let the photographs do the talking.

I’m so honored that Emily and Kyle chose me to be their wedding photographer. It was truly one of the best days of the year and I cannot wait to show you all my favorites. Enjoy Emily and Kyle’s wedding story…
