Layfayette Park Engagement Session
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Today I’m playing catch up on blogging and I’m so excited to show you my favorites from Tiffany and Doug’s engagement session. I’ve known Tiffany and Doug for years now and I’ve done numerous photo shoots for them including family sessions, Christmas mini sessions and even a pet mini session with their cute fur baby, Hank. When Tiffany contacted me to see if I was available to photograph their wedding, I was so honored. These two, as well as many of my clients, have become such good friends over the years and getting to be a part of their journey is something so special to me.
For their engagement session, Tiffany asked if I’d be willing to meet them in St. Louis at Layfaette Park. I had never been there before and the drive into the city never bothers me. It gives me an excuse to hit up IKEA! We walked all around the park finding all these cutes areas for portraits. One of my favorite spots was down by this little pond. There was a fabulous black iron bridge that I could have taken every picture by. There was also a building with arched windows that I loved too. No matter where we walked, everything was beautiful. We ended the session across the stress next to the row houses. They are beautiful homes that have such amazing curb appeal. Seriously, these homes are so dreamy.
Tiffany and Doug were planning a big wedding on Halloween but Covid-19 has ruined that plan. They will still be married that day with a small ceremony and family dinner but the full wedding day will take place next year when this pandemic is “hopefully” behind us. It’s sad that my brides have to rearrange their wedding plans but since there’s nothing anyone can do about it we all just have to stay positive and find the good in the situation. And I’ll tell you what’s good… these photos! Enjoy looking through my favorites below.
