Pierre Menard Home Engagement Session
It’s spring and usually my schedule is full of portrait sessions and upcoming weddings, but with Covid-19 everything has been on hold… until May 1 that is. Photographers were giving permission to do outdoor sessions as long as we maintained the social distancing rules. When I got word of that, I immediately contacted my clients that were needing to be rescheduled and first up was Alyssa and Gage.
Alyssa and Gage were suppose to do their engagement photos back in March but I’m always a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Even though Covid-19 didn’t seem like a good reason to postpone their session at the time, I knew that it would work out beautifully because everything would have a chance to bloom and get a little greener out. Springtime is one of my favorite seasons to shoot in (next to fall) because the light is so dang beautiful. Alyssa and Gage chose to do their session first thing in the morning and I always love when a couple agrees to do that. The light is amazing!!! I’ve said it many many times before but light trumps location. When you find good light, use it and stay in that location till it’s gone.
I’ve known these two for years since we’re all from the same small town, and getting to be apart of their big day is something I’m very much looking forward to. Have fun looking at my favorites from my time with Alyssa and Gage. They’re so so good!
