Wedding at De Vino’s Winery, Red Bud, Illinois

I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. When you think of a pandemic, your first thoughts are not positive. It’s life changing, stressful and scary. It’s especially scary for brides and grooms planning their weddings. It takes a lot to plan a wedding and couples had no idea if all the hard work and planning was ever going to take place this year. Taylor and Andrew know about all the stress that comes with planning a covid wedding. But let me tell you, everything that took place on their wedding day was absolutely beautiful and it was meant to be.

Both ceremony and reception locations had to be relocated which turned out for the better. Taylor and Andrew chose to have their ceremony at DeVinos Winery in Red Bud, Illinois. If you were familiar with the Red Bud Winery, it’s in the same location. There are new owners and they have completely renovated the space. DeVinos Winery is absolutely beautiful and it’s one of the best new venues in the Southern Illinois. So brides, if you’re looking for a beautiful winery wedding place, check this place out!

The reception was held at the Ratzskeller, also in Red Bud. I love weddings that take place all in the same town. It means there’s less travel for your guests and usually it’s small town where you just know everyone. Of course, if you’ve been following my work for a while you’ll notice one of my favorite shots in this post… the bridal party shot at the intersection in Red Bud. If you’re from this little town and you get married there, it’s kind of a given to stop traffic and get a great group shot (well… at least all my Red Bud couples do it!)

The evening ended with lots of laughs, drinks and dancing and I have to say that Taylor and Andrew know how to throw one heck of a party! I have so many favorites from this beautiful wedding day so sit back, relax with a cup of coffee, tea or whatever it is that you like to sip on and enjoy the photos.
