A fall wedding at Loveland Estates – Pocahontas, Illinois

This past October, I traveled my way north to Pocahontas, Illinois to a wedding venue called the Loveland Estates. It’s a hidden gem nestled on 10 acres with a beautiful waterfront view. It’s a new venue and has only been open for a year and it’s booked solid for the next two years! Kara and Gerry were one of the first couples to book and Kara even got to help pick out the color of the chairs! Just wait till you see this place. You’ll quickly see how this place won Kara and Gerry over and why it was the perfect location for their big day.

Now obviously there’s a pandemic still going on and last year when it all started Kara and Gerry had to switch up their wedding plans. A new date was picked and then they came across their new venue. It’s all one location, too, and I absolutely love one location weddings. All of your guests are there and they don’t have to drive around which makes it nice. There’s a bridal suite to get ready in as well as a loft for the groomsmen to get ready in. The ceremony took place outdoors. Think outdoor greenhouse (as they would describe it). There were wooden pews making an aisle down towards a fabulous statement wall. There were windows, too, but no walls. Just hanging windows to close in the space and make it intimate. It was a tad cold and most had their jackets on, but that didn’t matter. The ceremony was short and sweet… and perfect!

Afterwards, family and friends moved indoors to the reception where tables were decorated beautiful with blush, burgundy and peach florals. Decorations were designed by Heather at Loveland Estates. In fact, Heather used to do florals and decor for weddings until she built this wedding venue! I’m having a hard time choosing my favorites because the sweets table was something truly out of this world. Covered in Chocolate outdid herself! It was beautiful and almost too pretty to eat. And the table decor and florals were stunning. Kara and Gerry made their wedding day come to life with an amazing group of vendors.

It was the perfect day for Kara and Gerry and no matter how gorgeous the cake was, or the venue looked, the important thing is that Kara and Gerry got married! Love is what matters most. Watching them celebrate the night away with their family and friends was something that I truly enjoyed and I’m so thankful that I got to be a part of it. Here are my favorites from Kara and Gerry’s big day.
