Downtown Red Bud Engagement Session

Emily and Jake met over ten years ago at the Marissa Coal Festival. Neither of them were looking for anything serious at the time but they were both surprised when they both caught major feelings for each other. Through the last 10 years, Emily and Jake have welcomed two beautiful children into the world. They have a son named Maddox and a daughter named Matilda. They have discussed getting married numerous times but the timing always seemed to be off.

Well now, after 10 years, it’s finally the right time. In less than two weeks, these two will be saying “I DO” in front of all their family and friends at the Pour Vineyard in Red Bud. I had the pleasure of meeting up with these two for their engagement session in Red Bud. If you’ve been there, you know just have cute and charming it is. The downtown area is super modern and edgy and it’s been revitalized so nicely. Their session first started out downtown. Emily was wearing this cute orange dress with straps and Jake was wearing a fun Hawaiian style t-shirt that had pops of the orange color in Emily’s dress. I thought the colorful attire was perfect for the location. As we made our way through downtown, I got to know these two and how they met, how Jake proposed, etc. Jake proposed to Emily on the morning of her birthday last year and he even made her a pancake breakfast. How sweet is that!

Their session ended at this cute little area over by the sports complex just on the outside of town. It’s this hidden little gem with a lake and cute pathway toward the golf course. Emily and Jake left their session as pros and they’re going to be so great in front of my camera again on their wedding day. It just so happens that their wedding will take place on their ten year anniversary! That’s just so dang fun and it’s going to definitely be a celebration ten years in the making.
