Beautiful Spring Engagement Session – St. Louis Botanical Gardens

Have you ever looked a couple and just thought to yourself… “gosh, they just fit perfectly together!” Well that’s what comes to mind when I think of Carrie and Freddie. These two are just adorable and their story gives me all the feels. They were friends back in high school but that was it, just friends. They never really looked at each other differently. After high school, Freddie got married and joined the military and Carrie, too, got married and went her separate ways. Life moved on and they both found themselves single again. When they met up at their 20th high school reunion, they started talking and they have been inseparable ever since. It just seemed to click with them and what’s better than starting a relationship with one of your best friends. It’s like they picked up right where they left things back in high school, except this time they looked at each other differently.

I met Carrie and Freddie at the St. Louis Botanical Gardens for their engagement session. Carrie told me she wanted some place with lots of flowers and we landed on that idea. The STL Botanical Gardens is absolutely beautiful and absolutely perfect in the spring. She wanted flowers in their pictures because she received more flowers in their first year of dating than she has in her entire life! Flowers is just their thing and they wanted to incorporate that into their session.

While walking around the gardens, I got to know these two a little better and the whole time I just kept thinking to myself how joyful they were and I knew without a doubt that they were, as I said in the beginning of this blog post, perfect for each other. They can’t stop smiling at one another and they were stealing kisses between poses. They’re just so sweet and have so much joy and I can’t wait to see these two again in July when they get married.

I had a hard time narrowing down favorites because they’re just the sweetest but here are my top favs below!
