Beautiful Spring Wedding at De Vinos Winery – Red Bud, IL

From the moment I stepped foot in the back room where Claire and her bridesmaids were getting ready, I knew it was going to be a great day. Mimosas were being poured, Expressions Salon & Spa were there doing updos for all the ladies and Miranda Sutten Beauty was doing a fabulous job on makeup. Everyone looked so beautiful and I couldn’t wait to get Claire into her wedding dress and see her in her full bridal look. You can get your hair and makeup done professionally, but I’m pretty sure a bride doesn’t feel like a bride until she’s in her gown! It’s the gown of all gowns and Claire’s gown from Clarice’s Bridal was absolutely stunning. That dress was made for her and she just glowed from head to toe. Devin was hanging with all of his groomsmen down in the lower part of the De Vinos Winery. There’s a groom’s suite down there and I love that because a whole wedding party can be at the same venue at the same time and there’s no travel for anyone. Devin and his groomsmen, as well as the bridesmaids dresses, were dressed in attire that they rented from Bridal Manor and they all looked so handsome.

Claire and Devin were traditional and saw each other for the first time when Claire was walking down the isle. It was so sweet and I loved watching Devin’s reaction. They just looked at each other and smiled from ear to ear. After Claire’s father placed her hand into Devin’s, the ceremony continued with readings from family members and friends. It was a truly intimate ceremony with so many kind words spoken about Claire and Devin. For me, as a wedding photographer, I love getting to witness the relationships that couples have with their family and friends. Claire and Devin definitely have the love and support from so many great people whom I got to meet that day and some that I had the privilege of knowing already.

The evening continued with a beautiful reception there on the grounds at De Vinos Winery. Judy Pour decorated the space with white flowers and enough greenery to fill the back of a bus. It was absolutely gorgeous. Judy always does a wonderful job. There were cute signs around the entries to the reception and a neon sign that said “The Burmesters” was lit up over the gift table. The dance floor was outside under string lights and the most gorgeous sunset that I’ve seen this year so far. The colors of the sky that evening were breathtaking! When that sunset cleared and nightfall came, Claire and Devin’s guests made a pathway for them to walk down with sparklers. They got enough for everyone to have one and that place was lit up so bright I’m sure you could have seen them sparkling from downtown! Okay, so that might be a little exaggerated but I’m not kidding when I say it was very bright. It made for some pretty amazing pictures and a moment that I hope Claire and Devin will remember for the the rest of their lives.
