Finally, the celebration they deserved!

If these two look familiar it’s probably because you’ve already seen wedding pictures from Becky and Bradley’s first wedding. That sounds a little crazy to say, but then again the last couple of years have been crazy so nothing surprises me anymore these days. So yes, Becky and Bradley were married in 2020 and since Covid came and switched up everyone’s plans, including all of my brides that year, Becky and Bradley decided to still get married on their original date and they would just have a full wedding day in 2021. They held a very intimate ceremony with a few of their closest friends and family and afterwards there was a drive-by parade out front of their church to surprise and congratulate them. You can refer back to that blog post here. It was such an amazing day but I knew that they were very much looking forward to the day they could celebrate with everyone… the right way. That’s exactly what happened last June.

Becky and Bradley basically had a second wedding day. That’s not very common but I told Becky that it was pretty cool that she got to wear her wedding dress again! You spend all that money on THE dress and you only get to wear it once so it was pretty awesome she got to do it again. The day was pretty casual feeling and the nerves were gone because they were already married. There wasn’t a person around who wasn’t smiling or having a great time. It was a day for celebration and fun and to be surrounded by all the people who made their life special.

One of my favorite photos of the day was when Becky’s dad walked down the aisle and at the end he hands her off to Bradley. The smiles Bradley and Becky have are absolutely priceless. During this ceremony, Becky’s brother was able to finally be there in person. If I remember correctly, her brother was in Japan during covid for their first wedding and he couldn’t make the trip. He was watching via Facetime but it’s obviously not the same as if he were there in person. So I know the second wedding day meant a lot to Becky and her family that he could attend.

The reception was held at the Steeleville American Legion and if you haven’t been there in a while they’ve done a huge remodel. It’s such a nice space now and feels more light and airy. Tables were decorated with green and blue decor with rustic elements mixed in. There were also pictures from Becky and Bradley’s first wedding as centerpieces. It was definitely the celebration they deserved and it was so much fun watching Becky and Bradley mingle and dance with their friends and family. Covid really made us all sit back and think about all the things we missed the most. Just being in a room full of your favorite people was a huge missing factor for so long and now with things finally opening back up and masks mandates are finally lifting, we’re well on our way, hopefully, to getting back to normal. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of this second wedding and I can’t wait to share their special day with you. Enjoy!
