Pet. The definition states that a pet is a domestic or tamed animal or bird kept for companionship or pleasure and treated with care and affection. Well, when it comes to the Jewell family, a pet isn’t just an animal. Their dogs are considered family. When you have a pet for so long they do become family. It’s only natural really.

When Nikki contacted me to book a session, it was in the fall and the few dates we picked Mother Nature decided to rain and so they were cancelled. FINALLY, this spring we had a chance. She wanted to book a session because her dogs are aging and she just doesn’t know how much longer they’ll have together. You just never know how much time we have, pets or humans. The good part is that we get to cherish those memories with photographs, which is where I come in.

The weather, once again, was beautiful and where she and her husband, Gene, live is gorgeous. Cows and chickens and beautiful landscapes. I was in love and immediately knew where I wanted to shoot. We had a blast. I’m so glad I was able to be apart of this family photo shoot. Nikki and Gene, I hope you enjoy your pictures just as much as I do.
