The Pierre Menard Home is a gorgeous location for photos shoots around the Southern Illinois area. I have used it many times last fall and almost forgot about it till last weekend. Tarina and Dustin are getting married in December and they wanted to take their engagement pictures in the spring sometime. We originally planned to take the pictures in another town but then the Pierre Menard Home came to mind. I immediately called Tarina and asked if that would be okay. She told me “Honestly, you’re the photographer so if you think it would be better, then I’m game!” Tarina is so easy going and we get along great. When I met her and Dustin to go over the wedding contract and get to know them better, we actually sat there (each thinking to ourselves) that the other looked familiar. Neither of us could figure it out till I mentioned Taco Bell and that’s when she blurted out “That’s right, you’re the Taco Bell girl from the Weight Watchers meetings.” I had joined the club in early 2011 and so did Tarina. I used to talk about how Taco Bell was my weakness and I guess everyone remembered me as the Taco Bell girl. Too funny.

I feel completely comfortable around this couple. They are so fun to be around and they don’t complain about anything that I want to try. I can’t wait till their wedding day because I know we’ll have just as much fun as we did during their engagement shoot. The photos below are simply stunning. Take a look for yourself.
