Last Saturday I had the pleasure of taking wedding photos for Justin and Yvonne. It was such a gorgeous day. A little warm but nothing out of the ordinary. When I first arrived at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, IL I had immediately remembered that I had been there before. It’s such a beautiful church. Very artistic with huge paintings and beautiful colors/lighting. The room where Yvonne and her bridesmaids got ready in seemed like a hotel suite and the light was perfect. It was the ideal church to get married in for so many reasons. I don’t normally like shooting indoors for weddings but I could have taken ever picture inside that church and probably would have been happy LOL. You’ll see what I mean when you scroll down and look at my favorites.

After a quick and beautiful ceremony, Justin and Yvonne walked out in a sea of bubbles and headed toward Pinckneyville, IL where the reception was being held at. But before heading straight to the KC Hall, we made a pit stop at a bar in Nashville and then Yvonne’s parents house. Her parents have a small vineyard and they make home-made wine. That’s where things really got interesting. Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen wanted to do the “jumping” shots. By that point it was very humid and hot outside and when we finished everyone was all sweaty but it was totally worth it. I laughed so hard at the groomsmen’s pictures when I was importing them. It’s bridal parties like that that make a wedding day special. Justin and Yvonne had wonderful friends to have stand beside them on one of the most important days in their lives and I’m happy I was able to be apart of it as well.
