Tom + Kim | St. Louis, MO Engagement (Delmar Loop)

July 3, 2013

Filed in: Uncategorized

The worst blogger award goes to me lately. I’ve totally been slacking on putting up posts on a daily basis. It was one of my goals to do for this year and let’s just say I’m not doing as I’d hoped. What I have kept up with is posting my seniors, engagements and weddings and today I have another amazing engagement session to share with you.

Tom and Kim live in St. Louis and I met them through a friend (Kim’s BFF, Sandra). Sandra lives in the city too and we’ve been friends in the industry for about a year now, maybe more. She even helped me 2nd shoot a wedding this past December. Sandra emailed me and asked to send my wedding packages and information to her cousin Kim because she had just gotten engaged. That made me super excited because that meant I could possibly be having another St. Louis wedding. After emailing, we decided to have a consult at Starbucks…. which if you know me, you know how much I LOVE STARBUCKS!!! After answering a few of Tom and Kim’s questions I drove home and prayed that I would hear from them again. And I did!

Fast forward to their engagement session, which took place on the Delmar Loop in St. Louis. They spent a lot of time there while dating and Tom proposed there so it was definitely the spot they wanted to take pictures at. There were 3 specific places that we stopped at. The first being the Tivoli Theater. It’s a landmark theater and it’s gorgeous. Kim even emailed them to make sure we could actually take pictures there. The second place we went was to Blueberry Hill, also a landmark but it’s a music club filled with pop culture memorabilia. They have so much inside of that thing! We took pics INSIDE the restaurant in the Pac Mac room and the entrance waiting area. Definitely a great time. The last place on the loop that we went to was Star Clipper, a comic book shop. Tom and Kim both LOVE Batman so it was one of their favorites spots to go to together.

The last stop of the day was at the library where Kim works. When she originally told me she wanted to shoot there I immediately got some great ideas. I knew the lines of the bookshelf’s were going to be awesome and it was something new for me to shoot in. I had so much fun there!

Tom and Kim, I had so much fun taking your engagement pictures. I cannot wait till September when you say “I DO” at the Botanical Gardens!

One of my FAVORITES right here.

Kim’s favorite star on the loop.

Inside of Blueberry Hill by the front door….. LOVE IT!

Who doesn’t love Pac Man!

I WILL have one of those bean bags when I get a bigger place! I didn’t want to get out of it LOL.

Another FAVORITE right here!

This cracks me up!
