I can usually get an idea on how an engagement session is going to go in the first few minutes I meet the couple. If we have already met at a consult, then I already know. But when I’m meeting a couple the first time at their engagement session, like what happened last weekend at Johnny and Brittany’s engagement session, it always takes time to read people and get to know personalities, etc. It took me a matter of like 2 seconds to know how Johnny and Brittany’s session was going to go. Right away, Johnny walked up to me and I introduced myself. He’s such a sweet guy and always smiling. Brittany and I have been talking for months through email so I already felt like I knew her in a way. Johnny seemed pretty excited about the shoot too, which most guys are NOT. He said he was up for whatever I had in mind and Brittany had a few props that she brought to make their session personalized. 

We met at their farm where they keep their tractors. She’s a New Holland kind of girl and he’s a John Deere kind of guy. They have their reasons on why they like each and it was fun to see the friendly competition between the two. But before we had our fun on the tractors, we started the session off with regular portraits. They are just too cute for words! I kept telling Johnny his “model face” was awesome and he just laughed. Not many people can pull it off but he can. I have this thing were I say, “1, 2, GQ,” when it comes to the guys and they think it’s funny. Maybe they just laugh at me and I’m the only one who thinks it’s funny but I don’t care LOL. It gets them to lighten up for me and in return get amazing portraits.

I cannot wait till March gets here so I can see Brittany walk down the isle to the Johnny and promise their lives to one another in front of all their family and friends. I truly love everyone one of their photos and I’m so excited to show you a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
