I met Brent about a year ago when he was a groomsmen in one of the weddings I took pictures for. Little did I know I would be asked to shoot his own wedding a few months later. When I received the email from his fiance Savannah, it didn’t ring a bell with me right away on who exactly it was. They wanted to meet to discuss a few things and talk about the wedding day. When I walked in and I saw Brent it all came back to me. I definitely remembered him. It’s aways nice to work with clients who were in weddings I shot before. They are already familiar with my shooting style and my personality plus it helps them be more comfortable around me while shooting their pictures.
Brent and Savannah chose St. Louis for their engagement shoot because Brent proposed at the Botanical Gardens and they love the city. I don’t get to shoot a whole lot in the city in the fall because of being super busy and trying to schedule as many sessions as I can. But my couples always have first choice on when they want to do their session and then I work the rest in around them. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was absolutely gorgeous. We went to the Botanical Gardens first, then the Roberts Orpheum Theater, the Arch and then finally Busch Stadium. It was a long day but when you go to a bunch of places in the city you have to drive through traffic and find parking. It’s kind of a hassle but it’s totally worth it. My favorite location was the Theater but the stadium pics are pretty fab too. I can’t choose LOL. I love them all.
Brent and Savannah will be married in the spring and I’m so honored that they chose me to be their photographer. They are like the cutest couple and you’ll see the love in these pictures. You can’t fake this kind of happiness people 🙂
