Jeremy + Lindsey | Maeystown, IL Engagement Session

June 17, 2014

Filed in: Uncategorized

I first met Jeremy and Lindsey during my first set of mini sessions (I think almost 4 years ago), and we hit it off great and I’ve been taking their pictures ever since. We’ve become really great friends and I’ve captured the birth of their son (which took our friendship to a whole other level… right Linds) as well as their maternity session and other family sessions. They have attended or been in bridal parties of other weddings that I’ve shot. So when I heard that they were FINALLY engaged I couldn’t even tell you how excited I was. I was even more thrilled when Lindsey asked me to shoot her wedding. I don’t think she even wanted to talk details, she just told me she wanted me there and their wedding date has been on the books for a long time LOL.

Skipping ahead to their engagement session. We started off at Jeremy’s parents’ house. There is a gorgeous lake and it was morning time so the light was perfect. They wanted to get a few pictures with their children first and then leave them with grandma and grandpa before heading to Maeystown for the rest of their session. There are peacocks on the farm too and I kept chasing them around because if you know me, and know me well, you’ll know that I LOVE peacocks!!! They wouldn’t let me close but I managed to snap a few pics of them. They are the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!

After strolling through Maeystown for about an hour, I ended up with some amazing pictures that I’m so excited and honored to show you. You can’t fake true happiness and you can’t fake emotion and that is why this job means everything to me. I guess I just like freezing the moments of life. Jeremy and Lindsey, I’m so honored that you want me to be the one to “freeze” the most important moments of your life. Our friendship is something that I cherish very much and I very much look forward to your wedding this September. Enjoy my favorites from your e-shoot!

I can’t even…..

Jeremy, I had to post this! Don’t hate me LOL.

LOVE peacocks!

Probably my FAVORITE from the whole day. Seriously!

LOVE!

Yeah, we trespassed on property to use this rusty gazebo thing. Come to find out, it was a vacant home and for sale so it was all good LOL.

Another one I just HAD to post of Jeremy being “himself.”

LOVE!
