It’s officially wedding season! My first wedding of the year took place last week and it was on Leap Day! How awesome is that. Leap Day only comes around every four years so it’s definitely a special day. When Tara contacted me and told me that was the day she and Matt picked for their big day, I was thrilled. It’s definitely going to be a date that Matt will remember too 🙂
Tara and Matt were married at the Barrens Winery in Perryville, MO. It’s a wonderful winery just outside of the city. If you haven’t been there before I totally recommend it (especially their wineritas). It was the prefect location for a small wedding. Tara and Matt have 4 children and they were very much apart of the ceremony and after pronouncing them husband and wife, they all walked down the isle together as a family. It was so darn cute.
This wedding might have been small but it was one of the most intimate wedding I’ve ever been apart of. Most of the weddings I shoot are very large so it was a nice change of pace. I’m so honored that Tara and Matt wanted me to capture their big day. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding.
