Last weekend was Memorial Day weekend. For most people, they were kicking off their summer on the lake boating, or maybe having a BBQ. On Saturday, I was making my way to Sparta, Illinois to take wedding photos for Nathan and Megan. To be honest, I was a little nervous about this wedding day because it literally had rained like all week and the morning didn’t look good. I know Megan was nervous about the rain too because she had planned a ton of time into her wedding day timeline for portraits. Earlier in the week, Megan and I drove around and found the perfect place for portraits (which was outside of course) so the rain HAD to hold off. And I’m happy to say that it did!!!

Nathan and Megan had an amazing team of vendors working with them to make their big day special. From the florals, to stationary, the DJ and the super fun photo booth…everything was perfect! It’s hard for me to pick my favorites from this wedding because everything was so beautiful. We even got to play with flower petals for portraits (which was a first for me).

I want to give a special shoutout to the family, friends and vendors, again, for making this day so wonderful for Nathan and Megan. It was truly one amazing day and I’m so glad I got to be apart of it. I’m going to try and link vendor information below in case anyone is interested in using them for future events.

Megan got a bracelet from Nathan with an engraving on the inside. She’s holding it up for a funny pic because Nathan did something with his gift earlier in the day. Keep scrolling to see what he did LOL.

Megan’s sister, Jamie, is a hairdresser (she does my hair) and we decided to get ready at the salon since the first look was so early in the day and the rest of the bridesmaids were still getting hair/makeup done. I gotta admit, the salon may be my new favorite “getting ready” location 🙂

Megan gave Nathan a gun for his wedding gift and when all the guys stood around watching they shouted out “IT’S A GUN!” There were so many guys standing behind me (I’m not joking, probably at least 15-20) and they were all pretty pumped about the gun too.

He had to hold it up! He was pretty pumped.
